A young woman committed suicide on
Friday at a garments shopping mall near BK Road. The body was found hanging at the
store room of shopping mall. The body has been identified as Ranjita Mohanty,
age about 20’s, who work as a sales girl in same mall a resident at Bhagatpur
under Manglabag Police Station. Woman was hanging herself with ceiling fan by
her chunri. Manglabag Police has spotted
and brought down the body and sent to SCB Medical College & Hospital for
post-mortem. Today the body will conduct.
Ranjita had been working as a
sales girl for more than a year at shopping mall. She was working at the storeroom on the fourth
floor. A Preliminary inquiry with her family has revealed that Ranjita was
suffering in depression from last couple of days, source said.
Source also added, her body was
inspected and ligature marks were found on the neck. They were not suspecting
any foul play and that they were trying to ascertain what led the girl to take
the extreme step.
