HOWRAH-SECUNDERABAD FALAKNUMA EXPRESS JUMPED THE TRACK

The last bogie of Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express, which included the luggage and guard van jumped the tracks and crawled for around 500 meters near Kapilas Road railway station. The incident took place around 3 pm. No casualty has so far been reported.

Immediately railway officials rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. The guard-cum-luggage bogie, the rearmost coach of the train derailed. The derailed coach remained at the accident site while the train left with other coaches, said an official of the East Coast Railways (ECoR.

 “It was minor in nature and all the passengers are safe. The passengers who were sitting near the affected bogie have been shifted to other bogies. The derailed bogie was detached from the train after which it resumed its journey towards Howrah,” said Nirakar Das, PRO, ECoR.
