One more patient died in the Dengue Ward of SCB Medical College & Hospital while undergoing treatment. The patient was identified as 42 years old Biranchi Mahana, resident at Nuapatna Village under Nurshingpur Block of Cuttack District. With this the number of those who have fallen to the dengue this year has gone up to six in the Government-run-Hospitals of the State.
Biranchi was admitted to the Dengue Ward on September 27 and latter shifted to Intensive Care Unit due to deteriorated condition. Around 1 P.M. on Wednesday he succumbed due to failure of organ parts kidney and liver, said hospital source.
Source also said, near about 100 dengue patients are in undergoing treatment, where eleven of them were shifted to ICU. We sent 162 samples to lab for testing on Wednesday and 29 have tested positive as dengue.
